From 18 to 22 May 2026, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, in close co-operation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, successfully conducted a five-day Training of Trainers course on green economy principles in Sarob, Varzob District.

The training course brought together 25 representatives from the Ministry and other key state institutions involved in the implementation of Tajikistan’s Green Economy Development Strategy for 2023–2037.

Throughout the course, participants engaged in interactive discussions, group exercises and practical case studies, focusing on integration of green economy approaches into sectors such as energy, agriculture, transport, tourism, natural resource management and other key areas of sustainable development. The programme also contributed to strengthening participants’ facilitation, communication and presentation skills, equipping them to lead future awareness-raising and capacity-building initiatives across the country.

The initiative aligns with the mandate and priorities of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe in promoting comprehensive security through environmental sustainability, good governance, and regional co-operation.
