On 12 December 2025, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe supported the Agency for State Financial Control and Combatting Corruption (Anti-Corruption Agency) in organizing the high-level International Forum on “Combatting Corruption in the Business Sphere”.
The Forum was officially opened by the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sultonzoda Sulaymon Said, and the Acting Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, Tatiana Turcan. The event brought together around 200 participants, including representatives from government institutions, the private sector, international organizations, and CIS countries.
Focusing on promoting a favorable investment environment, the Forum addressed key topics such as the role of state anti-corruption policies in ensuring economic security, supporting entrepreneurship, promoting business integrity and corporate governance, preventing corruption through digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and sharing relevant international experience and best practices.
In her opening remarks, Tatiana Turcan emphasized the timeliness and importance of this dialogue for shaping pragmatic and forward-looking strategies. She noted, “Achieving business integrity requires collective responsibility: governments, the private sector, civil society, and international organizations each play a distinct but complementary role.”
The Forum concluded with the presentation of the new Action Plan for 2026–2030 for implementing the State Anti-Corruption Strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan.
This activity is part of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe’s ongoing support for Tajikistan’s efforts to strengthen good governance, advance the implementation of the State Anti-Corruption Strategy, and enhance anti-money laundering frameworks in line with international standards.
