OSCE supports law enforcement of Tajikistan in strengthening cybercrime capabilities

From 24 to 28 November 2025, the OSCE facilitated the participation of two officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and one prosecutor from the General Prosecutor's Office in a five-day practical on-site training course on the Fundamentals of Digital Forensics and Countering Cybercrime. The training was organized at the Law Enforcement Academy of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and delivered by local experts affiliated with the Academy.
The comprehensive programme covered key topics, including advanced digital forensics methodologies, legal frameworks for digital evidence collection, and comparative analyses of current best practices. Participants also gained hands-on experience in data extraction from public resources, explored the implications of blockchain technologies for law enforcement, learned about the role of the Kodex digital platform in combating cybercrime, and examined investigative approaches for uncovering Dark Web activities. Additionally, the training highlighted strategies to enhance cross-border co-operation in cybersecurity.
This initiative aimed to equip participants with advanced skills and knowledge for effective cybercrime intelligence gathering, incorporating global best practices into their operational methodologies.
