OSCE trains Women’s Councils on Gender Mainstreaming in Law Enforcement

On 8-10 August 2023, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (Office) organized a three-day training in Romit for 16 members of the Association of Women’s Councils in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.

On 8-10 August 2023, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (Office) organized a three-day training in Romit for 16 members of the Association of Women’s Councils in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.

The training covered several topics including increasing the participation of women in domestic violence prevention and the legal framework of Tajikistan on strengthening the role of women in public life. The training also addressed leveraging the professional skills and knowledge of the members of the Association on gender mainstreaming in law enforcement.

The OSCE is committed to mainstreaming gender equality. The training is part of the Office’s ongoing work to promote women's equal participation in public and political life in Tajikistan.
