From 17 to 19 December 2025, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, organized a three-day training course on renewable energy and project proposal development in Dushanbe.

The training brought together 19 participants (10 men and 9 women) from the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, Pamir Energy, and Barqi Tojik.

The course aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and practical skills in renewable energy technologies, project planning, and proposal development. Sessions covered key topics, including solar, wind, and small-scale hydropower solutions, energy efficiency measures, financing and procurement mechanisms, and strategies for preparing competitive project proposals.

Through a combination of lectures, group work, and case studies, participants gained hands-on experience in designing sustainable energy projects, assessing technical and financial feasibility, and effectively presenting project ideas to potential partners and funders. The training also emphasized the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration and stakeholder engagement in promoting sustainable energy initiatives.

By strengthening national capacities in renewable energy project development, the initiative supports Tajikistan’s energy transition, promotes sustainable resource management, and advances the country’s commitments to climate-resilient and inclusive development. Aligned with OSCE priorities, the training also contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy.
