Held in Dushanbe, the course, delivered by two international experts together with local specialists, equipped 20 officers from analytical units of the Districts of Republican Subordination with advanced skills crucial for modern border management.

The curriculum was tailored to address evolving security challenges and covered strategic and tactical intelligence analysis to counter threats such as smuggling and organized crime, as well as data analysis for identifying trends and potential criminal activity at border checkpoints, particularly within the scope of profiling and selection. It also focused on modern data collection and processing techniques, including the use of specialized tools, risk analysis and threat assessment in volatile border areas, and effective information sharing and reporting to strengthen inter-agency co-ordination.

In an era of evolving security challenges, including transnational organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, and cyber threats, the ability to rapidly and accurately analyse intelligence remains critical. The training provided immediate practical relevance to the officers' duties.

This initiative directly supports the implementation of the National Border Management Strategy and its Implementation Plan and remains fully aligned with the principles and objectives of the OSCE Border Security and Management Concept.
