On 13 April 2025, a three-day training course on preventing discrimination concluded in Dushanbe, bringing together 21 young people (8 women and 13 men). The training focused on practical skills on conducting awareness-raising events, interacting with relevant agencies, combating discrimination in everyday life, and more. It included interactive sessions, role-playing games, and discussions on current challenges in the field of human rights.

The training marked the final session in a series of OSCE-supported training courses held from October 2024 to April 2025. Participants included young activists, lawyers, and civil society representatives—among them members of regional Women’s Resource Centres—who share a commitment to advancing equality, inclusiveness, and human rights across Tajikistan.

Participants were introduced to key international legal instruments, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, and other core human rights treaties. They also studied national legislation, particularly the Law on Equality and its implementation mechanisms.

These training courses are part of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe’s broader efforts to support the host country in promoting awareness of the Law on Equality and its Anti-discrimination Mechanism.
