OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe holds train-the-trainer course on human rights education

A five-day train-the-trainer course on human rights education for activists from different Tajik civil society organizations concluded at the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe on 10 November 2017.

The training course was the third in a row and aimed at strengthening the trainees’ skills in communicating with and conducting training courses for diverse audiences. Several of the trainees used the skills and knowledge they gained in previous courses and were able to share their experiences, including their successes and difficulties.

Trainee Uguloy Bоbоeva said: “The training is very much hands-on. I already had a chance to use the skills and materials we received during the first two training courses. Now I want to use this training to discuss, with the trainers and my colleagues, what I could have done better. I think this training is helping me to become more confident as a trainer myself."

Tuula Yrjölä, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe said: “Though I did not participate in this training, I sense the positive spirit of the event. I look forward to seeing these young trainers use their skills in promoting and teaching human rights in Tajikistan.”

The training event is part of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe’s efforts to implement Tajikistan’s State Programme on Human Rights Education, which is aimed at increasing the knowledge about human rights in the country with the help of skilled specialists.
